s1859_1 Winter Cloak, 1859 ------------------ 1. half of front 2. half of back 3. shoulder piece 4. part of sleeve 5. hood The front is so long that we cannot give the whole of it. It must be, as marked in the diagram, 37 inches long in fornt; and 25 inches, on either side, measuring from the arm-hole down. Neither can we give the whole of the back, but from D down it should be 33 inches long, and from K down 25 inches. To cut out the sleeve ( the top of which is from E to AA) project downward from AA and H till the lines meet. In putting it together, join A and C of the front to A and C of the shoulder piece. Join A and M of the back to A and M of the shoulder piece; and plait from M to B of the back to M to B of the shoulder piece. (Povider's note: As neither part has a B in it, it's probably D.) To put in the sleeve, join E of the sleeve to E of the front, and A of the sleeve to a of the front. ------ brought to you by La Couturière Parisienne (webmistress @marquise.de) http://www.marquise.de Copyright 1999, 2000 by A.
