Make two pleats in the front part, .3 onto x3 and .4 onto x4 and stitch them down following the dotted lines in fig. 29. Cut the pocket slit into fig. 30, set the pocket fig. 32 under it from number 62 to 63, and sew it onto the upper edge of the slit from x to x. Neaten the edges with silk ribbon and silk flies at the ends. The edge of the side part also gets silk ribbon from number 61 to 62, and the front part from number 63 downwards. Now sew the side part onto the front from 61 to 62, and then (from 62) the front onto the side. Set the front onto the right side part. Pleat the back part .6 onto x6 and stitch it down the length of the line marked "slit". Cut the slit. Set a linen-lined strip with horn buttons under the right edge of the slit, and a lined strip with button holes under the left. Sew the back part to the side parts, then make the pleats x5 to the left and x7 to the right and stitch them down 3/4 of the skirt length. Secure the pleat ends with flies.
